Dr Jenny Ahn (Dentist)
Grade 9. That’s when a fascination with human anatomy and physiology first grabbed Dr Jenny (Dentist), long before dentistry was even on the radar as a career. It stuck through school and into Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus, where she earned a Bachelor of Dental Health Science and a Master of Dentistry (she also earned recognition for academic achievement and professional development along the way).
Before any of that, though, she spent time as a student radiographer in a private hospital. Different patients walked through the door every day, each with their own nerves and questions. You don’t learn how to handle that in a lecture theatre. Jenny picked it up on the floor: a calm voice, a bit of patience, actually listening before jumping to the next step. She’d already had practice leading people, too. Back in 2017, she ran a team at a youth camp, making sure nobody got left out of the fun.
Preventative care. Orthodontics. Cosmetic dentistry. That’s the shortlist. Fluent in English and Korean, Dr Jenny can discuss care with patients in whichever language they feel most comfortable using. She’s not one to rush a decision either.
